Product Introduction

This series of products utilizes polyolefin elastomer as the matrix resin and are modified polyolefin products grafted with maleic anhydride (MAH).

Mechanism of action and performance advantages:

The main chain segment of this series of products is a flexible polyolefin elastomer, with maleic anhydride (MAH) pendant groups on the molecular chain segment. Due to the high reactivity of anhydride groups with amine groups, hydroxyl groups, etc., maleic anhydride grafted polyolefin elastomers can serve as a bridge to enhance the adhesion and compatibility between polar and non-polar materials.

In the grafting of polyolefin elastomer onto maleic anhydride, the elastomer part provides super-toughness through micro-crosslinking and microcrystalline forms, while the main role of the active port of maleic anhydride is to connect with nylon through steric hindrance, hydrogen bonding, chemical coupling, and other means. Therefore, the role of the elastomer part is to enhance toughness, while the role of the maleic anhydride group is to provide compatibility. The combined effect of the two makes the blending system exhibit the superposition of different material properties.

This series of products can be used as both a compatibilizer and a toughening agent. As a nylon compatibilizer, it is also suitable for PA/PE and PA/PP alloys, enhancing the toughness of the alloy. As a nylon toughening agent, it has a very significant effect on toughening PA6 and PA66, significantly improving the impact toughness and elongation of the polymer. It is particularly suitable for the room/low temperature toughening, reinforcement toughening, and super-toughening of nylon-based modified materials.

In the application of nylon + glass fiber modification, the toughening agent can react with surface-treated glass fibers to enhance the compatibility between nylon and glass fibers, thereby improving the tensile strength and impact strength of nylon.

This series of products includes the following grades:

Grade MX01: Based on POE as the matrix resin, with PA as a general toughening agent, offering high cost-effectiveness.

Grade MX02: Using POE as the matrix resin, it exhibits excellent low-temperature performance. The impact strength of PA6+18% MX02 at -40℃ can be maintained at 25% of its impact strength at room temperature.

Grade MX03: Using POE as the matrix resin, it features ultra-low temperature toughening agent for high impact resistance. The impact strength of PA6+18% MX03 at -40℃ can be maintained at 30% of that at room temperature.
